Deadly bomb blast in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
A manhunt by the police is underway in Ethiopia f or suspects linked to a bomb blast that Wednesday killed four persons and injure d 24 others in a bar in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa. The Ethiopian News Agency (ENA), quoting deputy police commissioner Tesfaye Meresa, reported that 17 of the injured persons were undergoing treatment at two hospitals in the city and the rest were discharged the same day. Nobody has claimed responsibility for the explosion. Such incidents, officially blamed on anti-peace elements, occur frequently in different parts of the country. (Thursday 4 September - 18:12)
