Mozambique - Swaziland - Zimbabwe
Zimbabwean Fidelity Life Assurance company to open branches in Mozambique and Swaziland
Zimbabwean life assurance firm Fidelity said Friday it had been granted a licence to open a subsidiary in Mozambique, and had also applied to set up in Swaziland. "All the regulatory requirements for working in Mozambique have been met. As for Swaziland, we are waiting for the regulatory work to be completed anytime soon before we can finalise the deal," the company said. Fidelity Life Assurance is one of Zimbabwe’s biggest assurance firms, and has expanded to several regional markets in recent years. A few months ago, the company bought a life and asset management firm in Zambia, and moved into Malawi. (Friday 29 August - 15:21)
